Meet the team
 |
 |
Kimberly
Kimberly has done a bit of the
OE thing and is now happily settled back in New
Zealand.
Building a relationship with all of the animals
- cats, dogs, rabbits and birds is important to
her. Kimberly has a strong commitment to her work
and the animals, and they respond very well to
her influence of routine and orderliness.
Kimberly has 2 cats at home that demand her attention
at 6am every day, so she is usually the first
to arrive at work in the morning!
Undertaking the Animal Care course at Polytech
(passing at 100% grades!!) has provided Kimberly
with much theoretical knowledge to complement
her natural empathies and abilities.

Lea
Lea has come to Bunny Lodge
after finishing her Veterinary Nursing qualification
at the Polytech. Lea enjoys the ongoing day-to-day
interaction with the guests, getting to know each
of their personailities and especially enjoys
the challenge of assessing their "sociabilities".
The more boisterous dogs are her favourites, because
of their continuous energy. This means that Lea
sleeps well every night!

Kelly
Kelly has come from a farming
background, managing dairy farms in the North
Island. Cleanliness and hygiene standards are
therefore no strangers to her, and she always
passed the audit inspections with flying colours.
The exacting requirements of calf-rearing were
always easily met too.
The desire to understand more of the ins and
outs of animal care and pet welfare brought her
to Bunny Lodge and the Animal Care course at Polytech,
where 100% grades are regularly achieved!

Margo
As a mother, wife and schoolteacher, co-owner Margo keeps a close eye on hygiene standards.
The pets' owners (and the pets) enjoy checking in and chatting to her and always find it a pleasure. The cattery maintains a high standard of cleanliness under her direction and the
cats are well cared-for and content in their usual serene way.
Margo enjoys her quiet time in the mornings, providing the attention and TLC the cats demand (often quite loudly!) |
Tim
As co-owner of Bunny Lodge, Tim enjoys the opportunity to interact closely with animals. Having studied Animal Science for many years and graduating with a PhD, he has spent most of his life with animals and has owned cats, dogs, parrots, snakes, mice and even a mongoose
as pets. He gets particular enjoyment from winning the trust of the guests and building a relationship with them.
Although Bunny Lodge is incredibly busy, with a large number of guests plus continual maintenance and extensive upgrading of facilities, Tim does find time to enjoy his other passion – soaring above the Southern Alps of New Zealand and the Andes of Argentina in
a glider. |
